We have to stop asking people to give us what they don't have because we can only give what we have in our hearts.
One of my favorite quotes says “Expectations are premeditated disappointments” and with the holidays coming up in times that are very different to what we are used to, there could be a lot of emotions coming through us.
A lot of disappointments, loneliness, anxiety, especially when it comes to our relationships.
So, how can we keep our power and not give it away?
Here's the SECRET...
By letting go of expectations.
And you let go of expectations by setting intentions.
🔸 An expectation is, what can I get from people?
🔸An intention is, what can I bring to people?
So you start by asking yourself, what can I bring to this relationship or to this situation?
It could be joy, gratitude, love.

This applies to all kinds of relationships and situations in life.
When we have a clear intention of what energy we are bringing to the world, we keep our power because we are the ones in control.
We are not expecting the world to give us something that may not even have for us.
Being grounded in intention is keeping your power.
So my invitation to you today is to connect to your heart and set conscious intentions to navigate this holiday time gracefully.
And let me tell you one last thing, once you say it out loud, be aware! Intentions are a powerful thing!
